Questech, Inc is a manufacturer of educational equipment and industrial training programs. Our 11,000 sq. ft. manufacturing/training facility is located in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Our product lines include Microbot Robots, the Construction Zone, Technology Zone, and Custom Furniture Solutions.

Questech, Inc. was formed in 1991, bringing together two educational training companies, Microbot and Career Research. Both companies were pioneers in their respective areas.

Micobot is a leader in robot technology and automation training. The Microbot TeachMover is a durable, affordable robotic arm used for the teaching of robotic fundamentals. Specifically designed to simulate industrial robot operations in the classroom or laboratory, over 5,000 TeachMovers are used in schools, universities and industrial training programs.

Questech has taken its years of experience manufacturing the Microbot TeachMover to dramatically expand its features and create an even more effective robotic teaching tool. The Microbot TeachMover II was introduced in the spring of 2000, including features that will challenge students to expand their knowledge of robotic work cells. Dr. Larry Heath from Indiana State University has developed the curriculum for Microbot. The goal of the Microbot curriculum is to help students enjoy learning about robots and automation.

Questech purchased a company called Career Research/Choice from Ken Larsen in 1991. Ken Larsen spent 29 years as a product and sales manager for IBM. After retiring he launched a second career devoted to making a difference in the lives of young people through education. In 1980, he founded Career Research/Choice, a company that offered hands-on vocational training and opportunities for career exploration and discovering occupational aptitudes and interests. Questech kept the same hands-on approach when developing our Construction Zone and Technology Zone modules from Career Research/Choice.

Questech is the primary equipment vendor for UAW/Ford's Technology Awareness Program, an industrial training program intended to help hourly employees understand how technology effects their jobs.

Questech also custom designs and manufactures furniture, allowing a choice of sizes and colors to suit school's individual needs. Our Locking Workstation, used in the Construction and Technology Zone product lines, has become popular wherever valuable technology equipment or computers need to be secured.

Our hands-on products, supported by outcome-based curriculum, are exciting students and adults about their career opportunities.
